“Stop moving!” You elbow the wriggling angel. “And pull the corner of your coat under here! The point of the game is to hide and not be a dead giveaway!”
Cass turns his head to you, eyebrows pinched together in a confused expression.
“I still don’t understand why we are hiding.” He says. “If they don’t mean us any harm, then why are we hiding from them?”
“It’s a game Cass, different logic than reality. Now hush!”
It’s been over a week since the last hunt, and you, Sam, and Dean were getting tired of being cooped up in the bunker. An hour ago, the three of you had decided to play hide-and-seek. It was a childish game, but you were enjoying the chance to be childish. The feeling was foreign and desired by all of you at least once in a while. Castiel had showed up just as you had decided to keep the game on the first floor, and the boys had convinced him to play. At the moment, you and the angel were lying on your backs underneath one of the beds. It had been a constant struggle to keep Cass lying still and quiet, and he still didn’t get the point of the game.
He opens his mouth to say something else, but you quickly move your hand up to press it shut. Dean’s footsteps are audible from out in the hall. Sam isn’t with him, so you assume that the oldest Winchester hasn’t found him yet.
As Dean walks around to Castiel’s side of the bed, you carefully begin to crawl out from under the bed. You tug on Cass’ sleeve and motion for him to follow. He does, and the two of you manage to get out from underneath the bed on the opposite side from Dean.
You crouch by the bed until Dean walks into the bathroom, and then stand up to head for the door. Cass, in trying to keep up with you, knocks into the side table by the bed and the lamp crashes to the floor. Dean immediately bursts out of the bathroom, sees you both, and tries to cut you off at the door.
“Run!” Grabbing Cass by the arm, you dash out the door before Dean can stop you.
The Winchester is right on your heels as you round the first corner.
“Wouldn’t it be easier for me to teleport us out of here?” The angel nearly trips on his trench coat.
“That’s cheating!” You yell back. “Front door is base!”
Almost as Dean catches up to you, you fly through one last hallway . . . and find yourself in the second-floor library. As you catch your breath, you turn to face Cass.
“Oh come on man!” You shove him playfully on the shoulder. “I was almost there!”
All he does his cock his eyebrows at you. “He nearly had a hand on your shoulder. Didn’t you say that if he ‘tags’ you, then you lose the game?”
“That’s where the fun is. There’s a chance that you’ll lose.”
“I thought you didn’t like losing, (y/n).”
“No one likes to lose. But this one of those times where losing isn’t a bad thing. And besides,” You grin at him. “I might win the next game.”
Castiel doesn’t seem to truly understand the logic you are presenting to him. Choosing to not be bothered by it, you gesture for him to follow you to the far corner of the library where a small sitting area has been set up.
“Let’s see how long it takes for them to figure out where we are.” You grab a random book from a nearby shelf and plop down on the dark blue couch.
Opening the book, you pat the seat next to you. Cass takes the hint and sits down with his back ramrod straight up and down the back of the couch, hands on his lap. He doesn’t seem to know how to relax in a situation.
Just because he’s there, you pull your feet up onto the couch and snuggle your back against his arm and begin to read.
“What are you . . . reading?” He doesn’t move a muscle, but glances in the direction of your book.
You shrug. “I have absolutely no idea.”
The words on every page you flip to mean nothing to you. It’s probably a book that Sam would find interesting. Cass might be able to understand it too. Not willing to continue reading, you close the book and set it on the floor. You shift positions so that your head is in Castiel’s lap and close your eyes. He lifts his hands up as if he doesn’t know what you’re doing.
“(y/n)?”
“Hm?”
“What are you doing?”
“Taking a nap. Don’t move around too much.” You reach up and grab one of his hands and pull it down so you can wrap your arms around it.
He doesn’t fight you, but he seems unsure about what he’s supposed to do. After a few moments, he uses his other hand to gently pull a few stray hairs away from your face, tickling your nose in the process. You don’t see it, but his mouth turns upwards a little when he sees you smile and pinch your nose to stop the itching.
Encouraged by the happy look on your face, Cass begins to delicately trace your cheekbones, jaw, and the bridge of your nose with one finger. As you get even more relaxed, you turn onto your side and nestle your face into his shirt. He stops outlining your face and starts to softly play with your (h/l), (h/c) hair.
You smile to yourself. Cass doesn’t usually show affection of any kind like this, so when he does you don’t complain and allow him to pet you the way he does.
I hope Sam and Dean take a long time to find us. You think. Because right now I’m as content as I could ever be.

Kid!SPN angels x reader 'hide and seek'
"3...2...1 Ready or not here I come," you yelled. You spun around, thinking of where to begin. Hide and Seek is not your favorite game, but Cas used his baby blues, and you couldn't resist.
You walked a little ways, stopping under the boys treehouse, when you heard a little giggle. You smirked and glanced up, watching Cas quickly duck back in the tiny house.
"Little boy Little boy," you began climbing the ladder, "let me in." You slowly peered in, Cas had his wings out shielding him from you. "Not by the hair on my Chiney chin chin," he laughed, but his smile soon turned to a pout, "I'm out! No fair!"
You ruffled his hair, "tell you what,

Summary: During a game of hide-and-seek Sam in unable to find his own spot and makes you share yours.
It was a hot day in Sioux Falls and you and the Winchesters had decided to enjoy the nice weather. After Dean found a deck of cards, you and Sam set up a playing table on the porch. You had asked Bobby to join you but he said he needed to do some repairs and disappeared in the salvage yard. After a few hours of games, you eventually grew tired of cards and began looking for something else to do.
“We could build a card house,” Sam said throwing his cards on the table.
“It’s too windy look,” you said, pointing at

DeanxReader (Can't Sleep)
Silence…It was all that you could hear. Except for the occasional snoring coming from Dean, who was sleeping soundly next to you with his arms wrapped around your waist protectively. You glanced at the digital clock on the side-table, it was three in the morning . You sighed, it was the fifth time this week that you couldn’t get a wink of sleep.
After a few more attempts of trying to sleep, you decided to go to the kitchenette and fix yourself a drink. Taking a glance at the elder Winchester, you gently pried his arms off of your torso before silently descending to the door.
A couple of minutes had passed. You were sitting
